Description

A refreshing iced strawberry matcha latte featuring homemade strawberry syrup and ceremonial grade matcha whisked to perfection, combined with your choice of milk for a delightful and energizing drink.

Ingredients

Scale

Strawberry Syrup

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated monk fruit sweetener

Matcha Latte

  • 1 tablespoon ceremonial grade matcha
  • 1/3 cup hot water
  • 3/4 cup milk of choice (cashew milk recommended)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberry Syrup: Add the strawberries and monk fruit sweetener to a blender and blend until smooth. If a blender is not available, mash the strawberries thoroughly until drinkable through a straw.
  2. Whisk Matcha: Place the matcha powder in a small bowl, add hot water, and whisk vigorously for 1-2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and free of clumps.
  3. Assemble the Latte: Spoon the strawberry syrup into the bottom of a glass, then fill the glass with ice cubes.
  4. Add Milk and Matcha: Pour the milk of choice over the ice, followed by the whisked matcha mixture.
  5. Finish and Enjoy: Add more ice if desired and stir gently to combine all layers. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing iced strawberry matcha latte.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen strawberries for the syrup; adjust sweetness by adding more monk fruit sweetener if needed.
  • Ceremonial grade matcha provides the best flavor and texture for lattes.
  • For a creamier latte, use milk alternatives like cashew, oat, or almond milk.
  • Use a bamboo whisk (chasen) if available to achieve the smoothest matcha consistency.
  • Add ice last to prevent dilution of flavors during preparation.
