Ingredients

Scale

Snack Mix

  • 2 cups Corn Chex® cereal
  • 1 cup mini pretzel twists
  • 2 cups Rice Chex® cereal
  • 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios cereal or plain Cheerios
  • 1 cup Valentine’s Day M&M’s (red, white, and pink)

White Chocolate Coating

  • 3–1/4 cups white chocolate chips (just under 2 bags)
  • 1–1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil or canola oil

Toppings (Optional)

  • Remaining Valentine’s Day M&M’s
  • Valentine’s Day sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pan: Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside to cool the snack mix after coating.
  2. Combine Snack Ingredients: In a very large bowl, mix together the Corn Chex, mini pretzel twists, Rice Chex, Honey Nut Cheerios, and 1 cup of Valentine’s M&M’s. Stir well to evenly distribute all ingredients.
  3. Melt White Chocolate: Place 3 cups white chocolate chips and the vegetable oil in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir for 15 seconds, then microwave for another 15 seconds. Stir until smooth and melted. If needed, continue microwaving in 15-second bursts, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Coat Snack Mix: Pour the melted white chocolate over the cereal and pretzel mixture. Quickly and gently stir until everything is evenly coated in the white chocolate.
  5. Spread and Decorate: Transfer the coated snack mix onto the prepared sheet pan and spread into an even layer. Immediately top with the remaining Valentine’s M&M’s and optional sprinkles. For added decoration, melt the remaining 1/4 cup white chocolate chips, put into a plastic bag, cut the tip, and pipe stripes over the mix.
  6. Set the Chocolate: Allow the white chocolate to firm and harden at room temperature or refrigerate for about 10–20 minutes until set.
  7. Serve: Break the snack mix into pieces and serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature or freeze for longer storage.
  8. Enjoy and Review: Share this sweet and crunchy Valentine Snack Mix with friends and family, and don’t forget to leave a review!

Notes

  • Store the snack mix in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain freshness.
  • For longer storage, freeze the mix in a sealed container or freezer bag.
  • If the white chocolate is too thick to coat, add an extra teaspoon of vegetable or canola oil to thin it out.
  • Use Valentine’s Day-themed candies and sprinkles for a festive look, or substitute with any colored candies for other occasions.
  • Work quickly when coating the mix with chocolate to ensure even coverage before it sets.
