Description

Snickers Salad is a delightful and indulgent dessert salad combining crunchy Granny Smith apples, rich Snickers bars, and a creamy vanilla pudding and whipped topping. Perfect for potlucks or family gatherings, this sweet and creamy salad is topped with caramel, chocolate sauce, and chopped peanuts for extra texture and flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Salad

  • 3.4 oz instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 oz Cool Whip
  • 5 Granny Smith apples, chopped
  • 5 full-size Snickers bars, chopped

Optional Topping

  • 1 Granny Smith apple, cored and sliced or chopped
  • 23 Snickers bars, chopped
  • ½ cup caramel sauce
  • ½ cup chocolate sauce
  • ¼ cup chopped peanuts

Instructions

  1. Make pudding mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix and 1 cup of milk, whisking until thickened and smooth.
  2. Fold in Cool Whip: Gently fold in 8 oz of Cool Whip thoroughly to create a creamy dressing.
  3. Add apples and Snickers: Fold in the chopped Granny Smith apples and chopped Snickers bars evenly throughout the mixture.
  4. Chill: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad until ready to serve, allowing the flavors to meld and the salad to firm up.
  5. Add toppings: When ready to serve, arrange the additional sliced or chopped apples on top, sprinkle with chopped Snickers, drizzle caramel and chocolate sauces, and finish with chopped peanuts for garnish and added texture.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-3 days to maintain freshness.
  • For make-ahead convenience, add the toppings right before serving to avoid sogginess.
  • If adding apples in advance, toss them with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  • For a thicker dressing, use slightly less milk with the pudding mix.
