Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Roast Beef Pinwheels featuring creamy horseradish-spiced cheese spread and tender roast beef wrapped in soft tortillas. Perfect for appetizers or party snacks.

Ingredients

Scale

Pinwheel Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup sharp white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon mayo
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • black pepper, to taste

Other

  • 23 large burrito-size flour tortillas
  • 10 oz sliced roast beef

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a medium-sized bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar, mayo, prepared horseradish, dried parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until smooth and well combined.
  2. Assemble the Pinwheels: Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread the cheese mixture evenly in a thin layer over the tortilla, leaving about a 1-inch border on the left and right edges to prevent overflow when rolling.
  3. Add Roast Beef and Roll: Arrange a layer of roast beef slices evenly over the cream cheese mixture. Then, roll the tortilla tightly from one side to the other and secure the roll with toothpicks to hold its shape. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas and filling.
  4. Chill the Rolls: Place the assembled rolls in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up, which makes slicing easier and helps the flavors meld.
  5. Slice and Serve: Remove toothpicks and cut each roll into 1/2-inch thick slices to create pinwheels. Serve immediately as a tasty appetizer or snack.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free version, substitute flour tortillas with gluten-free tortillas.
  • If you prefer a spicier kick, increase the amount of horseradish or add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cheese mixture.
  • Make pinwheels a few hours ahead to let flavors meld better, keeping them chilled until serving.
  • Use toothpicks with colored tips for easier identification on a party platter.
