Ingredients
Scale
Salmon Bites
- 1 ½ pounds salmon, about 4 filets, skins removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Hot Honey Glaze
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- ¼ cup (85 g) hot honey, homemade or store-bought
- Parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 390°F to ensure it is hot and ready for cooking the salmon bites evenly.
- Season Salmon: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Add the salmon cubes and gently toss them until all pieces are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Air Fry Salmon: Arrange the seasoned salmon bites in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Depending on the size of your air fryer, cook in batches if necessary. Air fry for 9-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even cooking, until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 140-145°F.
- Make Hot Honey Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter and hot honey together until warmed through and well combined. Remove from heat immediately once melted to preserve flavor.
- Toss Salmon in Sauce: Add the cooked salmon bites to the hot honey butter sauce and gently toss to ensure each piece is evenly coated in the glaze.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the glazed salmon bites for a fresh, vibrant finish. Serve immediately as an appetizer or main course.
Notes
- Oven Instructions: Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the seasoned salmon cubes on the sheet and bake for 16 minutes, flipping halfway through, until salmon reaches 145°F internal temperature. Toss with hot honey sauce and garnish with parsley.
- To make homemade hot honey, gently warm honey with chili flakes or hot sauce for 5-10 minutes to infuse heat.
- Use fresh salmon with no skin for best texture and flavor.
- Adjust spice by choosing milder or spicier hot honey depending on taste preference.
- Serve with crusty bread or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
