Ingredients
Scale
Wings and Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon baking powder (optional)
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Garlic Parmesan Wing Sauce
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Heat the oven to 400F (200C) and arrange a rack in the middle of the oven to ensure even cooking of the wings.
- Mix Seasonings: In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and baking powder if using.
- Prepare Wings: Place the chicken wings in a baking dish, sprinkle the seasoning mixture over them, and coat well. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil evenly over the wings.
- Bake Wings: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 45 minutes until they are crispy and cooked through.
- Make Sauce: While the wings bake, melt the butter in a small pot over low heat. Add minced garlic and chopped parsley, stirring until fragrant, then remove from heat.
- Coat Wings with Sauce: Remove wings from the oven and pour the garlic butter sauce evenly over them. Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
- Final Bake: Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the wings are crispy, brown, and the cheese is slightly melted.
Notes
- TO STORE: Transfer leftover wings to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
- TO FREEZE: Place leftovers in a shallow container and freeze for up to 6 months.
- TO REHEAT: Reheat in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness; avoid microwaving as it makes wings soggy.
