Description

A fresh and vibrant strawberry salsa combining sweet strawberries with a hint of spice from jalapeño, zesty lime, and aromatic cilantro, perfect for serving as a dip or topping.

Ingredients

Scale

Salsa Ingredients

  • 1 pound strawberries, hulled and finely diced
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, stemmed, seeded, and finely diced
  • ½ cup finely diced red onion (about ¼ medium red onion)
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro, loosely packed
  • 1 lime, zested and juiced
  • 1 pinch kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: Add strawberries, jalapeño, red onion, cilantro, lime zest and juice, and kosher salt to a medium bowl. Toss together gently until everything is evenly mixed.
  2. Chill and meld flavors: Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate the salsa for 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld before serving.

Notes

  • Sweetness: Adjust sweetness by adding 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar or honey at a time until desired sweetness is reached.
  • Storage: Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir well before serving.
