Ingredients
Scale
Meat Mixture
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ cup bacon cooked, chopped
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 8 ounces Velveeta cheese cubed
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
Dough
- 13.8 ounces pizza dough (1 can)
- 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking.
- Cook Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess grease to prevent sogginess.
- Season Meat: Add the cooked chopped bacon, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet with the beef. Stir well to combine all the flavors.
- Add Cheese: Add the cubed Velveeta cheese to the meat mixture and stir until the cheese starts to melt slightly. Remove the skillet from heat once combined.
- Prepare Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a clean surface into a 15 by 10-inch rectangle, creating a base for the filling.
- Assemble Filling: Spread the beef and cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving about one inch of space around the edges to seal later. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top of the meat mixture.
- Roll Dough: Starting from one long side, roll the dough tightly into a log shape. Pinch the edges and ends to seal the seam securely and prevent filling from leaking during baking.
- Bake Bread: Place the roll seam-side down onto the prepared baking sheet. Optionally sprinkle the top with everything bagel seasoning for added flavor. Bake for 15-18 minutes until the bread is golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the bread to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing into pieces. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious Garbage Bread.
