Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 10-ounce package ravioli (fresh or frozen, thawed)
- 2/3 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or dried basil)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
- Cooking spray
- 1 cup marinara sauce (warmed, for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare breading mixture: In a small bowl, combine the Italian seasoned bread crumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning (or dried basil), and salt. Mix well to evenly distribute the seasonings.
- Beat eggs: In another shallow dish, lightly beat the two large eggs with a fork until smooth and well combined.
- Coat ravioli: Dip each ravioli piece first into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly in the bread crumb mixture to ensure an even breaded layer.
- Preheat air fryer: Set the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to preheat while preparing the basket.
- Arrange ravioli: Place the breaded ravioli in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; work in batches if necessary for best results.
- Apply cooking spray: Lightly spray the top of the ravioli with cooking spray to encourage a golden, crispy exterior during air frying.
- Air fry: Cook the ravioli at 350 degrees for 6 minutes or until they are crisp and golden brown, shaking the basket halfway if possible.
- Serve: Remove from the air fryer and serve warm with 1 cup of warmed marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- To reheat toasted ravioli, bake in oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes or air fry at 350 degrees for 3-5 minutes until warmed through.
- If using frozen ravioli, thaw completely for best results before breading and cooking.
- You can substitute Italian seasoning with dried basil or oregano based on your preference.
- Ensure ravioli are arranged in a single layer with space between pieces in the air fryer to allow proper air circulation and even crisping.
- Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model; adjust as necessary to avoid burning.
